Kenley’s Pronouncations

Kenley has decided to put an “na” to the end of her words I noticed.

We are in the midst of lovebug season where we live, and she will see the ugly things and say, “dats disgusting-na”.

Or..

“I don’t want to go now-a”

Presidential Election ’08

This is an email I received from my mother-in-law.

A Britton anecdote:
when she was here the other afternoon a show came on featuring the presidential election.
I asked her who the president was and she immediately replied “George Bush”.
I told her that people will soon be voting for a new president.
She asked me, “Will it be the one with the best song?”
I had to laugh…..out of the mouths of babes…..

Mermaid days

Princess “Arial”- Age 5
It is homecoming week at Britton’s school. Yesterday (tomorrow too) she got to wear her Arial costume. Yes, it will also be her Halloween costume. Attached is a photo of “Arial” on the playground. Britton likes this picture so much she has asked me to frame it!

Life at Kindergarten

I volunteered at Britton’s school today to read. Afterwards I snapped some shots of the kiddos. Below are some of Britton during show and tell and writing. They are studying metamorphosis.

I am not even sure what that is- Britton has to explain it to me!

Jesus Loves me

I just came out of Kenley’s bedroom where I was tucking her in. We said our Prayers- she blessed “Pops, Sassy, Nana, Gan, Uncle Casey, Sissy, Mommy, Me, Daddy Meme”.

Then we read Goodnight Moon.

And instead of going for a second book, we sang. I started singing Jesus loves me, real soft and slow and she began singing the words with me. It was the first time I heard the word Jesus come out of her sweet little mouth and what a sweet sound it was. She knew the words!

She has surprised me the other week by counting to 14, and now she is singing Jesus Loves Me. My oh my is my baby a preschooler now.

I think I hear the girls in the hallway- they have once again escaped from their beds (incidently they have gone back to their original bedroom).

I’m sure Kenley has waddled into Britton’s room to try to steal one more time in her tu-tu before ta-ta’ing into a deep sleep.
