Kenley’isms

It’s been a while since I posted the latest Kenley’isms- and boy has she had some one liners lately.

Currently, she is the only person in the family awake, dressed, hair-do done, full-fed tummy, and ready for church.

She sat at the breakfast bar, eating her oatmeal and OJ watching an old ‘Harold and the Purple Crayon’ episode. The episode was about Harold’s goldfish ‘Goldie’ that dies. The show teaches them that death is part of life. A mermaid comes to tell Harold, that Goldie is happy and with his mommy now.

Kenley looks at me and says, ‘When fish die, they go to fish heaven.’

Incidentally, today is my Dad’s birthday. The children affectionately refer to him as “Daddy Boone”. He would have been 63 years old today (born in 1946). He passed away March 12. 1998 at 51 years old.

Here’s to whisk brooms, camouflage, red hots, and yard clippers- Happy Birthday Daddy Boone!
