In keeping with the keeping-the-girls-busy-this-summer regime, Britton and I had our first cooking class this week. On the menu- fresh green beans from our local co-op. She cleaned, snapped, seasoned and helped cook the 100% organic (and local) veggie. Mmmmm, nothing like some summer greens.
My hope is that it will instill a sense of appreciation for healthy fruits and vegetables- particularly those that are grown locally. In the mean time, it’s just all out fun for her to be in the kitchen.
We also learned to make microwavable popcorn, those photos weren’t nearly as exciting though.
I am off for a quick girls weekend at the beach, still feels strange to leave my little nest behind. Best go make sure all the feathers are in place before flying away for a bit.
