And Happy 31st Birthday to Aunt Britty! Last year at this time she had a big ol’ belly waiting for this little girl. A lot can happen in 12 months….
We had a family-style birthday dinner last night at Sassy and Pops- and got a jump start on Christmas cards as well. The season ’tis around the corner after all…
Pops taught the girls all about owls. Their brains are like little sponges, taking it all in.
Birthdays continue on— tomorrow would have been my Dad’s 65th birthday. He was always looking forward to the day when he would retire from a busy, hectic law career. I like to think he would have spent tomorrow down at St. Teresa, wearing a faded t-shirt and shorts, top siders, taking his Jon boat down to Turkey Point in search of arrow heads. Maybe popping a few red-hot fireballs along the way. That would be a nice day indeed.
Next birthday is their Daddy’s — November 19th. Hard to believe he will be 36, seeing that I met him when he was a young 21.
I suppose that’s what happens when you aren’t paying attention. Life moves right along.
