The day arrived.
Britton left for her first spend the night camp this morning. I swore to her that I wouldn’t embarrass her by busting out my camera as she boarded the bus, with the 59 other children from our church.
It is an unsettling feeling knowing that I will not see my child, or hear her little voice for the next 6 days. Quite unnerving, actually, for a helicopter mom like myself.
In my heart, I know she will have fun, even if she does have momentary homesickness.
Her mama, on the other hand, may not be fare as well.
