Someone once told me that when you go on a vacation, it takes about 2 days to settle and and relax- having finally adjusted to a slower pace– leaving your crazy life behind. With Christmas 5 days past, I think I have finally settled into the ho-hum slow pace that I, like most, desperately needed. I am enjoying having my children home. We have no schedule, no plans- in fact I had to open my Outlook calendar to see what day it was. There is no driving to activities, rushing to school, projects, waking sleeping babies up early to rush back to school, or homework and it is nice. Real nice. It makes me wish that our calendars could remain less full the rest of the year. Why I feel the need to fill them up with dance lessons, swimming, piano, gym appointments and the such…. I often times wonder.
