I had to count on my fingers this morning to make sure I am doing the math correctly.
Say it isn’t so- one and a half years old?
Weight: 26.6 lbs
Diaper Size: 4
Shoe Size: 6
New Tricks: His favorite word is “hot”. Sisters think it funny to ask him, “Raynes what do you think of girls?” He responds, “hot” and they get quite the giggle out of it. This little guy loves to be the center of attention and I can already tell he will be the class clown.
Personality: He loves his “Da” and calls for him all day long. When Mike leaves for work in the morning Raynes waves and says. “Bye bye Da.” I keep telling myself that this is a phase, and surely he will begin calling out my name as well.
Must be an inherent male gene to love dirt.
Curiosity: He is into everything from nick nacks to lectrical sockets, dog food bowls, china cabinets, Tupperware bathroom cabinets and everything in between.
Mobility: He can climb up and down the stairs without help and enjoys crawling on top the kitchen table (and standing up like he just conquered Mt. Everest) when I am not looking. I’m not a fan of this little shenanigan. He continues to do his happy-feet-birthday-dance on cue, which makes us all laugh every time. He is a swiper, grabbing things that belong to his sisters (or me) then running off with them making it hard to catch him, believe it or not. This little booger is fast!
Activities: The boy still loves a good tea party. Raynes, party of one. When he gets to Sassy and Pops house he makes a mad dash to his snack drawer, then to his tea party table. We won’t tell him that the table is really set up for Allie Boone and Kenley.
Hobbies: Following in his sister’s footsteps, he is already appreciating art. He made his first watercolor painting with Lindsey this month, and has moved on to second medium- chalk.
Siblings make the best teachers.
Firsts: His first Easter egg hunt where he kinda-sorta participated. His third haircut. I registered him for preschool for the fall- 3 days a week. Hollah! This boy is always quick to move around, taking care of business.
Foods: Don’t even get me started. Picky, picky, picky. My new motto is if I don’t bring junk into the house, then my kids cannot eat it. Period. Eventually, if he gets hungry enough he will eat those vegetables.
It’s a little out there to think that next year at this time he will be 2 1/2. It reminds me of a quote I heard recently: The days go by slow but the years go by fast.
