With a Bang

We had friends over for dinner recently- and after a couple bottles of wine, broke out the fireworks.  Mike wanted to kick off summer with a ‘bang’.

I’m sure our neighbors love us.

This paints the perfect picture of what a typical day in our house is like.  The Toddler (yes, proper noun, Sassy) likes to stand on glass coffee tables, pull tops off antique ginger jars (Ginger breaking a ginger jar- get it?), tug on Poochie’s tail, and fling his Chobani Greek yogurt across the floors and wall for fun.

He must see the end of our index finger a good bit.
The good news is I do believe there is a light at the end of this toddler tunnel and common sense may be here before too long.
Climbing atop our kitchen table will be a stunt of the past. Right?

A Memorable Memorial Weekend

A Memorable Memorial weekend, much like in years past, with beach, boats and bikinis.  I often wonder if, in fact, my girls are part mermaid.

Cookout at Sassy’s

Typical- camera gear, iPhone…. and vodka tonic.

Kenley lost her 7th tooth and the Tooth Fairy was kind enough to scrounge up some half dollars and a fairy puzzle. I bet the Tooth Fairy is happy when she has gifts on hand.

Allie Boone made a red, white and blue bikini debut, much to her Father’s chagrin.

Cue the Daddy’s eye roll….

While the other Daddy took a minute to watch from afar- can’t say that I blame him.

Because this is what was happening at the other end of the salt water pool…

Good thing there was a life guard on duty.

This may be my favorite picture of Whitty J to date, with his built in flotation rolls.

And if you were ever wondering what it is like to have two babies within 17 months… here you go. This is what craziness looks like.

Goodbye Memorial Weekend- until next year….

A Wild Adventure | Part 2

Oh, we aren’t quite done retelling the tale of our Wild Adventure….

Not quite sure what this ride was but needless to say we didn’t want to find out… except Kenley perhaps.

While Raynes spent a good portion of his Saturday been wheeled around in his borrowed Bob stroller (I gave away my strollers long ago- only have a little umbrella now), he also ventured out….

Once he saw the little water area. It probably has some type of name, but I call it the little water area. He could have spent his entire day there, walking around waiting for the sporadic water spouts.

By the end of the day, we were trying to get him on any ride that would allow a pee wee on it.

Our plan worked. The kids had a great time and we managed to thwart off Disney… for a good three days. They are already asking us when our next Disney trip is. Ah yi yi!

Allie Boone Takes the Stage

Every school is wrapping up their academic year, including Allie Boone’s preschool. AB’s first performance was a success- this translates to the fact that she didn’t cry, scream or pick her nose. Well, maybe she picked for a second or two.

Raynes and I raced to get there in time- camera in hand. Unfortunately I forgot my zoom lens so you have to squint your eyes a little bit to find our pee wee.

Fourth from the right… the big white bow (thank you Lindsey!)

She is ready for PreK2 in the fall!
