Day 23: Simple Exploring

This post is day 23 of a 31 days series on finding Joy Simply. You can read all the posts from the series by clicking HERE.

A homebody at heart, international traveling is not my passion. My grandmother, Martha Lee, loved traveling and visited more countries than I can count. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing other parts of the world, particularly when we went to Europe after my Dad’s death, but there is so much to see right here in the US that exploring around America is typically my preference.

National Parks, mountains, Pacific and Atlanta oceans, Old Faithful…. and all that Florida has to offer. We made the 8 hour drive to Captiva Island this past weekend and it was like being in the Caribbean with the beautiful green foliage, bright orange flowers and breeze blowing.  How is it I have lived in Florida for 36 years and never been?

Look closely, there are two little animals staring back

Did you know that there is a such thing as “shelling?”  It’s a profession.

I love that my man will still pose for me.
