Prepping for the big game:
If it’s a little quiet around here this week, there’s a reason for that. It’s called the calm before the storm. Beginning Friday, Raynes will be home all summer with his Mama. When I say home, I mean home with me. For 3 months. Do I sound scared? I do? I’m good. Really, I am. This is what I have been repeating to myself all week.
The girls essentially finish school next Tuesday because half days were invented to keep parents teetering between relieved and slightly annoyed. According to the school calendar, their last day is next Friday.
In order to prepare for the coming months, I’ve had my thinking cap on (my Mom always used that term) and have complied some creative projects for Britton this summer and an now concentrating on activities for my middle child. Prepping for the big game.
Nothing says hooray for
Mama the kiddos like a new handbag for me. I ordered this soft leather, monogrammed clutch from Etsy recently. When a package from Indonesia arrived at my door yesterday I knew exactly what it was. (okay, that’s a lie I wondered who the heck do I know in Indonesia?)
A 5th grade graduation present to myself, if you will. The bag is lovely (turned out just like the photo) with a gold foil monogram- I’m sure I’ll have it for future graduations to follow.
Now it’s back to prepping for the big game- starting with a 6:00 am run.
