Fathers Are Wonderful

Fathers Are Wonderful

by Heather Steiner Rice

Father’s are wonderful people

Too little understood,

And we do not sing their praises

As often as we should…

For, somehow, Father seems to be

The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up littleyurts

And nurses all our ills….

And Father struggles daily

To live up to “his image”

As protector and provider

And “hero of the scrimmage”…

And perhaps that is the reason,

We sometimes get the notion,

That Fathers are not subject

To that thing we call emotion….

But if you look insides Dad’s heart

Where no one else can see,

You’ll find he’s sentimental

And as “soft” as he can be…

‘Life’s a Beach’ and Thankfully So

But he’s so busy everyday

in the grueling race of life,

He leaves the sentimental stuff

To his partner and his wife. (well, not my children’s daddy)

But Fathers are just wonderful

In a million different ways,

And they merit loving compliments

And accolades of praise,

What to do with little boys | Grateful Simplicity

For the only reason Dad aspires

To fortune and success

Is to make the family proud of him

And bring them happiness….

And like our Heavenly Father

He’s a guardian and a guide,

Someone we can count on

To be always be our side.

Happy Father’s Day, Mr. Robinson!

We love you.

Thank you. Father’s Day is one of those rare days where I tend to stay of Facebook and Instagram in an attempt to make the day just pass on by quickly.

I love this. So sweet! Happy Father’s Day to Mike. I’m sure you’re probably missing your daddy today. I’ll say a little prayer for you and your family. xoxo
