Our Dysfunctional Thanksgiving

Dysfunctional.  That’s the only way to describe our family Thanksgiving.

The three tables were set (with different themes), fresh flowers arranged, turkey basted, antique dinner napkins pressed.  So we waited.

Until the first of the crew arrived. Sassy and Pops.  The littles were slightly excited to see them…..

It was at this point that our fluky Thanksgiving began.

There was the family member who was laid up in bed sick, the other one who ‘felt faint’ and never did come, had to work, those that were out of town, the one who snuck off to the back bedroom and slept, showed up 1.5 late, brought their dish– uncooked, or simply didn’t like our food (uh, hum– see below).  We laughed because that is just so… us.
