Rosemary Beach in October… my happy place

Pop’s side of the family held a mini-reunion at Rosemary Beach a few weeks ago, which is when I decided that hands-down, October is the most beautiful time to be at the beach.  No comparison. No way. No how.

I love this little guy so much I could just hold him forever and never let go. Even with all the questions that would follow my embrace.

Rosemary in October… my happy place.

The early bird gets the worm… and the sunset.

This is the first trip where Britton brought a friend (who is really more like family) allowing the little kids to to claim most of our attention guilt-free. Which is probably how we ended up in the Sugar Shak with these three. It was like the Munchkins meet Willa Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

We also happened to stumble upon this author who was in the midst of a book signing at The Hidden Lantern Bookstore.  What are the chances?!

Then followed the polka dot bikini girl to the nearest pool to wear off the 6 lbs of sugar they devoured. And no, it did’t work.

Britton and Isabell scouting for boys.. I mean ice cream. Rosemary is one of the few places left where your kids can actually ride their bikes safely for hours

This one here is growing up but we are not allowed to remind her. We will keep on putting big bows in that hair, not matter how tall she gets (and despite the fact we now wear the same size shoe).

I received notification in the mail recently that this domain name was nearing expiration and I’m thinking of letting it go. With a hectic scheduled which stays full with children, their activities, full time jobs, errands and chores it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the time to take photos let alone try to download, edit and come up with something in the form of a cohesive sentence. Perhaps Instagram would be the happy medium– short, sweet and to the point. It would be a shame to let it go after almost 10 years of blogging. We shall see…..
