Sea Island

Sea Island

With an adult-getaway in the books, just days before Thanksgiving, we opted to take the back roads up to the Georgia coast.  The scenery is so much more interesting when not on the interstate. But then again, once you arrive  the scenery at The Cloister is nothing short of magical. My magical kingdom.  We ate a fancy smanchy -star restaurant, the Georgian Room, and walked along the main drive to look at all the pretty houses. The November weather was beautiful.

We hope to go back for Mike’s 80th birthday. Until then….

Edited to add: before I could hit publish, Raynes walked up to my desk with a handful of wet bird feathers he just found in the yard. Welcome home!

view from our patio.. swoon. Now it's back to tattle tale'ing and kitchen crumbs.
