Let it Snow, let it snow, let it snow. And it did.
Who would’ve thunk it. Snow in the south. Whenever my kids ask me if it will snow here- I’ve always told them it was doubtful. Turns out, I’m a liar.
Glad it came to my children though, instead of my driving my children to the Carolinas (thank you God- you must know I hate driving on the interstate). Florida had some giant flakes that fell for what seemed like one hour. Social media feeds flooded with photos as everyone seemed to be just as amazed at the whiteness outside the window as we were. I can remember it snowing in T-town when I was maybe 12 or so– but honestly cannot remember it snowing here since. And since I’m
only 32 40, it’s been a while.
I excitedly yelled to both Britton and Kenley to “wake up, wake up- it’s snowing outside!” but only Kenley could be roused. Britton seemed to think the warmth of her bed, an a sleeping English Cocker snuggled beside her, far outweighed wet white freezing flying outside her dormer windows. Plus, she would just watch her Instagram Stories later for the highlights (don’t even get me started).
Oh my snow, oh my snow. Until next time…
